The imagery is used to identify damage, ponding areas, debris accumulation, and deterioration across the full roof plane at a level of detail that ground-level observation can't provide.
Drone inspection covers the entire roof surface systematically rather than the paths an inspector can safely walk. It identifies issues in hard-to-reach areas — steep sections, fragile substrates, and areas near skylights or roof edges — without the safety risks associated with foot traffic. It also creates a permanent photographic record of roof condition at a specific point in time, which is valuable for insurance documentation, warranty claims, and capital planning.
